It's in development for PC as well as unspecified consoles and tablets, though there's no word on a release date yet.Īmanita is also working on an interactive music video named Osada. The site describes it as "a point-and-click adventure about five tree critters on a quest to save their home’s last seed from a pack of evil parasites." Splendid!Ī new entry in the surreal Samorost series is also on the way, under the creative name of Samorost 3. New adventure game Botanicula is expected around the end of the year, PC Gamer reports. There’s a bizarre, almost dreamlike logic behind these fantastic landscapes and their ecosystems, and once you understand the connections between its parts and the consequences of your meddling-through-clicking, you can begin to solve the problems.Fabulous indie developer Amanita Design has unveiled a full slate of projects at a GameCityNights event in England, including several new games and a PlayStation 3 edition of top adventure game Machinarium. Some of the spectacle is just there to be enjoyed and marvelled at, but some of it will also provide you with clues as to what you’re supposed to be doing to progress. It’s as silly as it is heart-warming and beautiful. Creatures sing, sigh, whisper and mumble with gusto and oh-so charming whimsy. There’s no boatload of items to collect and carry around, and as a result no complicated inventory puzzles that require item combinations. Like Amanita Design's other minimalist games, Samorost 3 dispenses with many of the trappings usually associated with the genre.
